Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment

The Management of the Institute is controlled by the General Council (GC) and the Standing Committee (SC) governs the activities of the Institute. The Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Joint Secretary (Disability Division) to the Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment are the President and Chairperson of the GC and SC respectively. The General Council lays down the guidelines and policies for the Institute whereas the responsibility of ensuring the execution of those guidelines by the Institute lies with the Standing Committee. Meetings of the General Council and Standing Committee are held on regular intervals.
